Data Classification

Use this page to Add Custom Data Classifications.

To access this page, select Common > Configuration > Modules > Collect > Data Classification in the Navigation pane.

Field

Description

DATA CLASSIFICATION

Displays a name to classify the data in the object, such as Human Resources, Sales, Customer, or Personal.

INFORMATION TYPE

Displays whether the data classification is Personal, requiring a retention expiration date, Restricted, or Public.

RETENTION PERIOD WARNING

If checked, if an object uses this data classification, a workflow email is sent to the Data Controller warning that data is to be purged from a target, target source, or table to which that Data Controller is assigned.

DSP SUPPLIED

If checked, this content is installed with the platform and cannot be edited.

If unchecked, the content was added by a user or process.

NOTE: This is a display-only check box. It cannot be updated.
